Drove two hours out to Anza-Borrego Desert with my friend and fellow photog, Paige Nelson and her boyfriend Andrew, for a dreamy adventure session in the slot canyons and night sky. Shooting post-sunset / dusk is my new “golden hour” – the skin tones and natural grittiness are just SO good. I absolutely love what Paige had to say about this shoot, so I’ll leave you with her words.
“I wanted to do this session just because. I was recently asked if we had ever had our photo taken the way I work with my couples, and the sad, true answer was no. It felt a little hypocritical for me to be so wrapped up in this process and not be able to relate the same way. You don’t need to wait for a milestone life event to have your photo taken with the one you love. The in between moments of your relationship are just as memorable and important as those days. I work with couples going on 10 years together who have never had images like these taken, and that’s a shame. Celebrate love on ordinary days. Dress up for the hell of it and go explore a new place. It’s so worth it.”
